Deep cleaning covers all the things you would like to have done that regular cleaning does not include. It is very detailed cleaning, used as a one-off reset, when moving in or out, after a renovation, or as the kick-off to a regular cleaning plan so we can start from a properly clean baseline.
OVENS
We tackle the entire oven — racks, bottom, sides, the door and the visible glass. Baked-on grease and food residue is loosened with steam and specific cleaners, then everything is polished so the oven looks brand new. Most ovens that look ready for replacement just need a deep clean.
RANGE HOODS & VENTILATION
The range hood above the stove collects grease and grime over time, and its outer metal and glass turn dull from cooking smoke. We clean the hood's surfaces, grease filters and ducting as far as we can reach. We also clean ventilation grilles in the kitchen and bathroom, which often collect dust and grease that affect indoor air quality.
LIMESCALE REMOVAL
Limescale on tiles, glass walls, fixtures and toilet bowls is thoroughly removed — no matter how thick the buildup. We use scratch-free descalers and polish stainless steel until it shines like new.
BRASS FAUCETS
Brass behaves differently from chrome and stainless steel — it oxidizes over time and collects limescale and fingerprints. We polish brass with specific products that lift the buildup without wearing down the finish. The deep, warm shine comes back without scratches or marks.
WALLS
Walls accumulate marks, fingerprints, kitchen grease splatter and general wear over time. We wash accessible areas gently with a method tailored to the surface — painted walls, wallpaper or tile. The result: a home that visually feels new, without having to repaint.
FLOOR TILES
Tiles in the kitchen, bathroom or hallway get a thorough grout-line refresh. We clean each tile and every grout line — it's the grout that makes the biggest visible difference, and it often looks almost new afterwards.
FRIDGES
Inside and out. We empty shelves and drawers, wash them thoroughly, and remove stains, odours and spilled food. Door seals and the condensation tray don't get forgotten either — that's often where lingering smells come from.
CABINETS & DRAWERS
We wipe the inside of kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets and wardrobes — all crumbs, grease and dust removed. Drawers can be taken out and cleaned separately if needed.
This type of service can be used for all kinds of different areas. We can address various household needs, and we suggest customers call before considering renovations — lots of surfaces and appliances can be cleaned instead of buying new ones.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a deep clean and regular cleaning?
Regular cleaning keeps the home tidy week to week — vacuuming, floor washing, kitchen worktops and bathrooms. A deep clean (hovedrengøring) goes much further into the detail: oven interior, range hood with filter, descaling of shower and fixtures, grout wash, walls, fridge interiors and cabinet interiors. It's the proper reset that regular cleaning rarely reaches.
How long does a deep clean take?
For a 70–90 m² apartment we typically plan 6–10 hours with two cleaners, depending on how much of the programme we go through (oven, limescale, walls, tiles, etc.). The exact time is agreed after Elisabeth's free home visit, where she sees the home and identifies which areas need the most attention.
Can I use a deep clean as the start of a regular cleaning plan?
Yes — it's one of the most natural ways to use it. We start with a deep clean so the home is on a thoroughly clean baseline, and then the dedicated cleaner takes over the upkeep at whichever frequency you choose (weekly, biweekly or monthly).
What does a deep clean cost?
Price depends on the size of the home and the scope — whether we run the full programme or only selected areas (e.g. just the oven and bathroom). We give you a precise price after Elisabeth's free home visit. Deep cleaning is fully covered under the 2026 Danish servicefradrag, which reduces the effective cost significantly.
How often should you have a deep clean?
Most of our customers choose a deep clean 1–2 times a year — typically in spring and before Christmas — as a supplement to regular cleaning. For move-in or move-out, after a renovation, or if the home has gone a long time without a thorough clean, a deep clean is the natural one-off choice.
